Easy Children's Mousse
Ingredients
- 125g dark chocolate (I chose 85%)
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- ½ – 1 tbsp maple syrup (sweetness dependent on what your little ones like)
- 1 orange, zested
Method
- Melt your dark chocolate on a low heat and set aside to cool.
- Separate your egg whites and egg yolks.
- Zest 1 orange and add to your melted dark chocolate.
- Add the vanilla essence to the egg yolks and whisk until stiff peaks form.
- Stir your egg yolks into your cooled melted chocolate, and add your maple syrup.
- Slowly incorporate your stiffened egg whites spoon by spoon into the chocolate until a rich, fluffy mixture appears.
- Pop into ramekins and refrigerate for 4–5 hours.
Then enjoy!
